God help you. I despised Grapes of Wrath. Granted, this is almost certainly due to the fact that I started and finished it the day before the test, but I still have lasting memories of displeasure...
I'd say it's due to the fact that it's one of the most overrated books of all this time.

* 1 of: Things Fall Apart (Chinua Achebe)
